| Summary: | The new headquarters of Radio Télévision Suisse (RTS) by OFFICE Kersten Geers David Van Severen, the winning entry of a 2014 competition and set to open in 2025, redefines the relationship between classical broadcasting, contemporary media, educational facilities and public space. Situated on the EPFL-UNIL campus, the design organizes its primary functions -television studio, concert hall, media library, and administration- into four distinct volumes, supporting a suspended, continuous workspace 7 meters above ground for editing and production. Beneath this elevated field of media activity lies a spacious public terrace and logistics hub, extending into the surrounding campus and offering a dynamic public interface at street level. |
