Description
Summary:In the nursing field, every situation is an opportunity for a social encounter that allows professionals to exchange, engage emotionally and put care-related activities into practice. Historically, the notion of “taking care of” has always been linked with nursing (Collière, 2001). The purpose of this article is to present certain results of a research study on the identification of professional care-related gestures in the activity of self-employed nurses in care situations and its applications in training. The analysis of this activity has given us a better grasp and understanding and has revealed new implicit aspects. Making these professional gestures visible has allowed us to question their potential added value in care and to propose the development of a tool for professional care-related gestures. This tool makes it possible to inform the activity of nurses during care and to analyze work situations, in particular within the framework of training through care simulation.
