description To celebrate La Nouvelle Revue du Travail issue number 19, the editorial board has organised a public round table hosted by MSH Paris-Saclay and involving all the authors of this special issue focusing on seven different types of world sociology originating from Germany, Argentina, China, United States, Spain, Mexico and Great Britain. The topics to be discussed build upon developments that the authors had formulated in earlier articles, thereby elucidating the foundations of these seven national varieties of sociology. Each will take a reciprocal view of the sociology of work on a planetary scale, embedding it each time in a national space, particularly with reference to the sub-discipline’s funding modes and relationships with partners and users.
