This study aims to show under what conditions it is possible to use Simondon's "techno-aesthetics" to think about performance art. After stating two series of difficulties concerning on the one hand the programmatic dimension of Simondon's "techno-aesthetics" and the problem of the privilege granted to the object; and on the other hand the problem of technique in performance; this article first proposes to replace Simondon's proposition in a short history of techno-aesthetics in philosophy. It then presents an analysis of Simondon's main text on techno-aesthetics. Finally, it seeks to define the main elements of a techno-aesthetics of performance. It is a question of proposing an introduction to techno-aesthetics that completes previous works.
