description There is one perceptible paradox in Colombia, Ecuador and Venezuela: the derision shown by the common man about the narrative and iconic construction of official history almost never encompasses the three-colour rainbow flag that theses countries share. Should we interpret that attitude as an expression of denial of the invented tradition associated to the Nation-State, and therefore as nostalgia of the Bolivarian Homeland? In other words the text will deal with Georges Duby’s assertion according to which: “the trace of a dream is not less real than that of a step”.
