Abstract
Ettore Majorana, fisico geniale scomparso nel nulla nel 1938, viene descritto come l’archetipo della modernità, ma anche di colui che la rifiuta, mettendo sotto impasse il diritto e sfuggendo alla struttura di aspettative in cui la famiglia, lo Stato e l’Università hanno chiuso la sua esistenza, come in una gabbia d’acciaio. La sua scomparsa è la narrazione del disagio dell’individuo moderno e, insieme, delle possibilità di resistenza allo spirito del capitalismo.

Abstract
Ettore Majorana was a brlliant physicist who disappeared under mysterious circumstances in 1938. He is described as the archetype of the modernity, but also the one who refuses it, putting a strain on law and escaping from the structure of social expectations where the family, the State and the university looked his existence, like in a steel cage. His disappearance is both the narration of the modern character’s uneasiness and the chances of resistance to the capitalism spirit.
