description Temperature is a sensitive factor to the conducting and switching characteristics of power device, so the effects of junction temperature and cooling condition must be taken into consideration when calculating power losses. Precious calculation of losses for two-level converters is realized by calling loss calculation procedure and temperature field calculation program on ANSYS in a circular manner with Matlab. This method can improve the accuracy of loss calculation and it can be a reference for the optimal design of heat sink.
