Summary:In order to achieve tooth surface digital design and direct machining process for Oerlikon cycloid bevel gear,the machine setting calculation and meshing simulation software is developed based on VC and MATLAB software platform. The software system not only includes geometry parameter calculation,cutter head parameter calculation and machine setting parameter calculation,but also can complete tooth surface numerical simulation,tooth mismatch analysis and tooth contact analysis. The example indicates that the accurate machine setting parameter can be acquired quickly by using the developed software,and it will provide theoretical guide for cycloid bevel gears machining.
