This paper aims to recognize the frame of the political thought of NOVALIS through an analysis of SCHMITT’s critique of Romanticism. To understand the figure of King and Queen means to find out their roots in NOVALIS’ conception of the exchange between I and Not I. This contribution focuses on the way in which
