Description
Summary:There is an enormous variety and volume of information that is available through thx Internet. Librarians are keenly interested in using the Internet to answer their clients’ i'eference queries. This paper reviews the use of electronic mail, electronic discussion lists and telnet so as to provide reference services. Issues such as bibliographic control of networked information, ease of use of Internet tools, costs, personnel and education are also briefly discussed. Librarians and library school students have to be trained in order to be able to take advantage of the Internet.
