| description | This work is the result of a qualitative and daily approximation to the region shocked by 1999 disaster in Vargas state, Venezuela. From social sciences, we take the critical interpretation of social and political process, that contribute meaning to the construction of vulnerabilities; the historical research it’s a support to comprehension this process and his reproducing in time; and geosciences open the glances to analytic understanding of technical decisions that sustain it materially. Based on multiples methodological strategies and in a critical ethnography, this article try to note the differential results that produce the disasters, from a multidisciplinary glance focused on public and private roles of the reconstruction. The choice example can be called “school case”, because what happened in the post-disaster situation for Venezuelan central littoral region allows to understand how it articulated (economic, politic and socially) the agents that participate in construction and reproduction of risk and vulnerabilities. |
