description In order to accurately and efficiently evaluate the reliability of a subway traction substation and improve the traditional fault tree reliability analysis method, it presented a Bayesian network analysis method based on fault tree, which can greatly improve the accuracy of reliability calculation. The method was introduced into the reliability research of a subway traction substation with typical structure, and the reliability of the metro traction substation main wiring was analyzed. Some reliability evaluation indexes, such as an average work probability, failure rate, repair rate, average working time, mean time to repair and the average life cycle were figured out. The weak link of the system was found by using the Bayesian networks of reverse reasoning, and the qualitative and quantitative assessments of the metro traction substation reliability were achieved.
