Description
Summary:The article shows the results of research work on the formation of a thermodiffusion protective layer based on silicon on the surface of the welded joint of the coil tube of the reaction furnace after long-term operation. The object of study is the welded joint of the reaction furnace coil made of 10Kh23N18 steel. The article presents the results of a study to determine the depth of the protective layer at different siliconizing times. Silicification was carried out at a temperature of 1000 ° C for 6, 8 and 10 hours using a powder mixture, the dimensions of the samples 38 × 10 × 9 mm with a weld cut out of the welded joint of the reaction furnace coil pipe. Analysis of the siliconized layers showed that the depth of the protective coating depends on the temperature and heat treatment time. Metallographic examination of samples conducted in the furnace for 6 hours established that the thermal diffusion coating was not formed. When examining the surface of samples with heat treatment for 10 hours, a smaller protective layer based on silicon is formed. The maximum thickness of the thermal diffusion protective layer is formed when heated for 8 hours.
