In this paper, we evaluated the scavenging effects of four catechins both on superoxide anions(O<sub>2</sub><sup>-</sup>)and hydroxyl free radical(·OH). In addition their synergic effects, structure—activity relationship, as well as stoichiometric factors and rate constants for the reactions of O<sub>2</sub><sup>-</sup> and ·OH with EGCG were discussed. |
