Description
Summary:The paper offers a characterization of OSA handgun cartridges and cartridge componentsmost frequently encountered in forensic practice. Recent design modifications havesignificantly enhanced the end-user performance of OSA handguns and non-lethalcartridges, at the same time limiting the possibilities of forensic toolmark analysis oncartridge cases and recovery of trace materials on the damaged target. The authorsdemonstrate the possibility of establishing whether a shot was fired from an OSAhandgun.
