description The article presents the importance of the probation center as a place of creative activities, consistent with contemporary trends and concepts of rehabilitation. Reference to the concept of place pedagogy presents the probation center as a space that inspires, teaches community thinking and cooperation, and is a real offer of support for children and youth at risk of social maladjustment, brought up in conditions unfavorable for their development, caused by dysfunctions in the family or peer environment. The aim of the article is to present a catalog of professional influences in the space of a probation center using the example of the implementation of selected preventive and rehabilitation programs. In the text, I also presented for the first time the experimental program "Sea - education, work, chance for a good future" and its evaluation using selected psychometric tools. This program was attended by 14 charges attending probation centers from six judicial districts. The following questionnaires were used to examine the effectiveness of the program: M. Rosenberg's SES Self-Assessment Scale, Resilience Scale 14, and the Generalized Self-Efficacy Scale. A qualitative analysis of open-ended questions directed to the study participants was also conducted. The results did not indicate an increase in the level of self-esteem, self-efficacy, and resilience of minors. However, the qualitative analysis shows that the program had positive effects on the study participants.
