| Summary: | The life and work of Fructuoso Gelabert, despite several works already ancient that have been dedicated to him, still include many gray areas today. It’s the case especially of the beginning of his career that has been the subject of manipulation that has little to do with the work of the historian. Micro-history, as a real method of research, allows us to discard most of the approximations or inaccuracies that surround the existence and production of the Catalan cinematographer. In addition, it allows putting in place elements based on traces whether they are raw sources (civil status, archives ...) or others (the press). Without pretending to have solved everything, this research modestly wishes to offer an indisputable basis to better know the biography of Fructuoso Gelabert. |
