Description
Summary:Abstract The aim of the undertaken research was to find out the assessment carried out by preschool education teachers on the school readiness of children during the pandemic. Material and methods The research was carried out by the method of survey using the author's questionnaire survey among 90 teachers in kindergartens on the territory of Biała Podlaska and Biała district. Results The data analysis revealed the so-called "weak points" of distance education in pre-school. Teachers in the conducted assessment indicated skills which some children did not master, especially in the emotional and social sphere, while the skills mastered by them in the cognitive sphere were assessed very well. Conclusions It was noted the need to look for new solutions and tools in working with preschool children in conditions of remote education, so that the assessment of school readiness is based not only on the observation of children but on their various activities and free play.
