description Crowdfunding is an important tool of resource support for social projects. However, the role of business in organisation and support of social crowdfunding campaigns remains understudied. The goal of the research is to build up a taxonomy of models of participation of businesses in crowdfunding campaigns supporting social crowdfunding campaigns. The research is based on the method of descriptive literature review. Sources include papers dedicated to crowdfunding from Scopus and RINC data bases, as well as news publications from Russian and foreign media that describe cases of participation of businesses in support of social. The article introduces a typology of models of participation of business in social crowdfunding based on the criteria of correspondence between company’s business model and its participation in crowdfunding. For each model a detailed description is given. The paper demonstrates that a company may receive direct economic benefits within some models of social crowdfunding.
