Description
Summary:A grouped feeding trial, metabolism trial, and mensuration of bone and serum were made to determine biological value of inorganic phosphorus sources in various chemical forms for broiler chickens. It showed that biological value of MCP, DCP, TCP and SP were scored in hundred-mark system as follows, respectively: 100,98,100 and 89 when body weight gain was employed as response criterion; 100,92,98 and 78 when ratio of phosphorus retention was employed; 100,93,92 and 81 when bone ash content (the average of tibia ash and toe ash) was employed; 100,96,98 and 90 when serum phosphorus level was employed and 100, 95, 97 and 85 when scores of all above four criteria were averaged. It was concluded that MCP was the best inorganic phosphorus source for broiler chickens, DCP and TCP were also ideal inorganic phosphorus sources with high efficiency and SP was relatively inferior.
