Based on the analysis of technical characteristics of SiC device and module, it presented the application of SiC devices in railway traction at home and abroad, and confirmed the application of SiC device was propitious to smaller size and lighter weight of traction converter, which was conformed to the demands of green intelligence development of railway traction.
