The glandsweight about ( 20 mg ) . microscopically it is composed of an epithelial component oradenohypophyis and a nervous component or neurohypophysis . The parancymal cellsof the pars distalis are the chromophilic cells . Pars intermedia consist ofchromophobic cells and basophilic cells . neurohypophysis has scattered pituicytesamong the nerve fibers . |
