Summary:The figure of the printer is decisive in the expansion of the press in Spain during the reign of Isabel II. Often the printer not only contributes his workshop, he becomes a promoter, the search for work for his establishment or for literary purposes, and assumes the functions of responsible publisher —who holds fines and all kinds of sanctions—, it is often the same editor or assume the middle management.
