Description
Summary:The aim of this paper is to discuss the concepts of a “milieu” and of “weaving a milieu”. Based on a territorialized project, the aim of which is to revalorize lime tree picking within the Baronnies Provençales (south of France), we define a "milieu" as an expression of the normativity of living things, which shape or weave multiple heterogeneous environmental phenomena in order to stay alive. This “weaving a milieu” is expressed in the history of lime-tree picking: through the work gestures of the traders and the pickers, a living tissue of links emerges, which extends far beyond the limits of the administrative territory at the origin of this project. The question is then how a territorialized project can be lead in order to allows, facilitates and supports this necessity to weave links in order to shape a milieu.
