| Summary: | Background. The article analyzes the gender perspective in the context of unreg-istered forms of marriage, which allows us to identify the features of gender interaction between partners who prefer not to register their relationships. The purpose of the study is to identify gender determinants in the system of interpersonal communication of partners outside the registered marriage, which allow to determine the nature and degree of stability of the marital union. It should be noted that the traditional male dominance in the marital union is undergoing significant changes, due to the increased social activity of women and the desire for personal identification outside of marriage. An important aspect in consider-ing this problem is the harmonization of gender roles, which do not always meet the expec-tations of partners, which are based on different ideas about the characteristics of the behav-ior of men and women in marriage. Modern marriage strategies are largely based on the priority of partnerships, implying full autonomy of partners and the absence of mutual obli-gations, which is why alternative forms of marriage are widely popular in Russian society.
Materials and methods. The theoretical basis of the research was the works of domestic and foreign scientists who studied the peculiarities of the gender perspective in the system of family and marital relations. The methodological basis of the article is based on system-value and gender approaches, as well as methods of comparison, observation, and question-ing, which allow analyzing the research topic in accordance with the set goal. Results. The-oretical research in the field of gender attitudes in family and marital relations allows us to consider this aspect within the framework of studying gender attitudes at the micro level, characterizing the peculiarities of partner relationships in conditions of unregistered forms of marriage. The study found that in many cases, preference is given to the partner style of interaction, on the other hand, there is an obvious gender dissonance, depending on many factors: the level of education of partners, social status, financial situation and others. Con-clusion. The analysis of the specifics of the gender perspective in the context of alternative forms of marriage confirms the relevance of the chosen research topic, in connection with which it is recommended to create comprehensive educational and methodological manuals on sociology, where special attention will be paid to preparing young people for marriage and family relations, which are based on a conscious choice by young people of their fu-ture. |
