description The development of chip implant technology in humans has brought significant changes in various fields, particularly in health, security, and financial transactions. Chip implants are microelectronic devices that are implanted into the body for various purposes, ranging from identification, monitoring medical conditions, to real-time device control. In the medical field, this technology has proven to assist in managing chronic diseases such as diabetes and neurological disorders, as well as facilitating quick and accurate access to patient health data. However, this advancement also raises ethical and religious issues, particularly from an Islamic perspective and in relation to hadith, such as privacy protection, potential health risks, and data surveillance. This study aims to examine the Islamic perspective, particularly the hadith of Prophet Muhammad Shallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam, on the use of chip implants in humans. The method used is a literature review, analyzing primary sources such as hadith books and hadith commentaries, as well as secondary literature from journals, books, fatwas, and scholars’ opinions. The results of the study indicate that although there is no specific term for chip implants in the hadith, principles of Sharia law such as the prohibition of harming others, the encouragement of seeking medical treatment, and the protection of privacy can serve as guidelines for determining the boundaries of chip implant use. Chip implants are permitted for clear medical purposes that do not cause harm, while their use for non-medical purposes or those that potentially violate privacy and pose risks is prohibited in Islam. These findings are expected to serve as an ethical and legal reference for Muslims in addressing the advancements in chip implant technology.
