Comparative analysis of the application results of high-intensive laser radiation and high-frequency electrocautery for the laparoscopic surgery of stomach

The comparative analysis of the application of diode laser (970 nm wavelength) and high-frequency electrocautery for laparoscopic stomach surgery was carried out. 30 experimental operations in dogs and 108 laparoscopic surgical interventions in clinic (fundoplication, vagotomy, pyloroplasty) were pe...

description The comparative analysis of the application of diode laser (970 nm wavelength) and high-frequency electrocautery for laparoscopic stomach surgery was carried out. 30 experimental operations in dogs and 108 laparoscopic surgical interventions in clinic (fundoplication, vagotomy, pyloroplasty) were performed. Laser application allowed to reduce the thermal injury of tissues, avoid complications, decrease hospitalization period after operation from (3,4 ± 1,3) to (2,3 ± 0,6) days.
