Description
Summary:Abstract The aim of the study was to characterize the health behaviors of young working women and to determine the relationship between the presented health behaviors and personal resources. Material and methods 200 professionally active women were examined using the following standardized diagnostic tools: The General Self-Efficacy Scale (GSES) by R. Schwarzer and M. Jerusalem, Life Orientation Test (LOT-R) by M. Scheier and C. Carver, Diener's Satisfaction with Life Scale (SWLS), Health Behavior Inventory (IZZ) by Z. Juczyński. Results The analysis of the data showed the important predictors of pro-health behaviour in the surveyed group were: life satisfaction and disposable optimism This indicates the contribution of a positive mental attitude to the formation of health-supporting behaviors. Conclusions Particular attention should be paid to the need to monitor the health behaviour of young women, with particular emphasis on resources supporting health.
