Description
Summary:Artificial Intelligence (AI) has attracted special academic attention recently due to its potent capabilities across various application domains. Defined as the ability of computer systems to perform tasks with human-like intelligence, AI encompasses visual perception, speech recognition, decision-making, translation, and interpretation. Central to AI systems are algorithms that discover patterns and make predictions, eliminating the need for meticulous programming. The adoption of AI emerges as a pivotal tool, offering numerous advantages when harnessed and applied to detect anomalous data, which is an integral part of real-life systems. This article provides a concise overview, explicitly delving into popular AI algorithms employed in developing Anomaly Detection Systems (ADSs) applicable to Cyber-Physical Systems (CPSs), the state of AI and guidelines for adopting AI within the Caribbean region.
