| Summary: | Radon is a radioactive chemical element that belongs to the category of inert gases.Currently, there are many medical facilities in Ukraine that provide specialized care using mineral radon waters. Deposits of mineral radon waters have become an integral part of the medical base of a number of sanatoriums of Ukraine (sanatoriums in the city of Nemyriv, the resort town of Khmilnyk, the village of Denishi, etc.). In Vinnytsia region, the most famous resort town is Khmilnyk, where currently deposits of mineral radon waters have been explored, on the basis of which sanatoriums operate.
The purpose of the study is to analyze the current stages and methods of exploration of existing or previously explored deposits. Within the Vinnytsia region, since the last century of “Soviet times”, work has been carried out to search for and evaluate deposits of mineral radon waters. Exploration of mineral radon waters is a rather complex and lengthy process, which includes various stages and methods of studying potential deposits.
The use of new research methods during certain stages of exploration of a deposit is relevant. One of such methods may be the creation of a nationwide electronic database of minerals, on the basis of which preliminary research can be conducted.
The article provides a detailed analysis of the stages of geological exploration, their generalization and the search for ways to improve or accelerate exploration and exploration works using the example of the Novokhmilnytskyi deposit of mineral radon waters. |
