| Summary: | Background and Aims: The present study was conducted with the aim of investigating the effectiveness of
healthy lifestyle education based on the theory of planned behavior on improving health literacy and adaptability
of students in 2024.
Materials and Methods: The target population included all students of the Islamic Azad University of Torbat
Jam in 2024.30 of whom were selected from among the volunteers to participate in the research. The selected
people were randomly divided into two groups of 15 people. Subjects responded to Dennis and Vander Wall 2010
adaptability questionnaire (CFI) and Montazeri et al health literacy questionnaire (2013). Then the experimental
group received healthy lifestyle training sessions based on the theory of planned behavior and the control group
was placed on the waiting list.
Result: The results of data analysis showed that the health literacy and adaptability scores had a significant effect
on the post-test scores after adjusting the effect of the pre-tests.
Conclusion: Therefore, it can be said that healthy lifestyle education based on the theory of planned behavior is
effective in promoting health literacy and adaptability of students. |
