The Use of Annular and Circular Cross-Section Members in Transport and Power Engineering Building Construction

The problem of evaluating the bearing capacity of the reinforced concrete elements of circular cross-section is considered. description The problem of evaluating the bearing capacity of the reinforced concrete elements of circular cross-section is considered. Strength calculation of these reinforced concrete elements differs from strength calculation of the elements of the rectangular cross-section. A method of calculation similar to that used for strength calculation of annular crosssection elements is suggested. The bearing capacity of circular cross-section elements, calculated based on the use of this method, matches the bearing capacity determined by testing.
