description Amidst the rapid development of China's new energy vehicle industry, the market demand for tires is continuously increasing. At the same time, society has higher demands for the environmental protection and sustainability performance of tires. However, the vulcanization fumes produced in the tire manufacturing process are not only complex in composition and have a large instantaneous emission volume, but they also contain many substances harmful to the environment and human health, making the control and treatment of vulcanization fumes extremely challenging. The current challenge is that vulcanization fumes can remain in the tires for a long time and are expelled through slow volatilization, forming secondary pollution and posing a potential threat to human health during daily use. To address this issue, we utilize headspace gas chromatography to test and trace the volatile components of vulcanized rubber in four parts of two brands of finished tires. This work provides strong data support for the optimization of green tire formulations and helps to promote the entire tire industry toward a more sustainable development direction.
