Description
Summary:The aim of the study is to identify how tactical leaders in the Romanian Land Forces (RLF) respond to conflict situations, the main causes of conflicts and their consequences within the military organization. The literature review includes an analysis of the most relevant aspects on the topic, while also operationalizing the key concepts essential for the practical part of the study. Moreover, having clarified the fundamental theoretical background, the questionnaire survey method will be applied to a representative sample of commissioned officers, non-commissioned officers (NCOs) and enlisted soldiers from the RLF, which due to the functions and responsibilities they fulfill, can be considered tactical leaders. Besides identifying the predominant conflict response style, the main causes, and the nature of conflict effects within the military organization, the paper also aims to examine how variables such as operational experience, branch, staff category, or gender influence the selected response style when facing a conflictual situation.
