description This paper proposed a new topology of dynamic voltage restorer ( DVR) based on the concept of open-end winding,considering higher dc-link rating,harmonic distortion of voltage generated by inverter and power loss of converter. The methods to decrease the harmonic distortion of voltage and amplitude of dc-link were studied. We established equivalent circuit model and then the control strategy was presented. Meanwhile,compared to the traditional DVR,the proposed DVR has better performance on power loss. Finally,we build the simulation model on MATLAB /SIMMULINK and the simulation results show that the new topology structure has superior performance and high compensation accuracy.
