Description
Summary:[Abstract]Solitary fibrous tumor (SFT) is a rare tumor originating from mesenchymal tissue, which can occur in various parts of the body, most commonly in the pleura, with the presacral area being a relatively uncommon site. Our team treated a patient with presacral SFT presenting with low back pain and swelling. The tumor was resected en bloc via the transsacrococcygeal approach. At the one-month postoperative follow-up, the patient’s overall recovery was good. This article reports the clinical diagnosis, treatment, and outcome of this patient, and discusses relevant literature on SFT for exchange with colleagues.
