We report two cases of a rare ocular impairment, acute syphilitic posterior placoid chorioretinitis. Fundoscopic syphilis changes can mimic numerous other conditions. The ophthalmologist should be aware of the wide range of ocular manifestations that syphilis can cause, to enable early diagnosis and avoid sequelae. |
