Description
Summary:This paper presents a novel procedure for designing robust high-speed asynchronous DC-DC converter controllers. The method relies on the use of Workcraft©, a plugin-based development system designed to synthesize and validate the asynchronous control logic, ensuring hazard-free implementation even in the case of non-persistent input signals. The simulation results (using a proprietary 90 nm technology) showed a typical time response from input to output of less than 1.4 ns, which fits the fast response requirements for DC-DC converters.
