description This article focuses on the preservation of traditional rural cultural landscapes in northern Poland, which were created in the 14th century as a result of the settlement of the Teutonic Knights under Kulm Law. The research covered 21 unique street-square villages in the Vistula Delta and included, among other things, an analysis of the spatial layout of the villages, their social functions, the presence of historical monuments and the persistence of historical plot divisions. The aim of the study was to evaluate the state of preservation of the elements of the medieval settlements and to make a comprehensive assessment of the landscape.
