Description
Summary:The system frequency dynamics in large-scale interconnected power grids are characterized by spatial-temporal distribution, and its propagation speed is far less than the light speed. In this paper, the propagation characteristics of dynamic frequency and the response time difference at different locations are used to locate the disturbance sources. Firstly, the Floyd algorithm is used to calculate the shortest propagation path between different locations, and the propagation speed is determined according to the physical parameters of the power grid. And then, the time difference of arrival (TDOA) location method is used to locate the disturbance sources. Finally, the proposed method is applied to the 3-machine 9-bus system and the actual power grid system. The analysis results show that the proposed method can effectively locate the disturbance sources in the power grid.
