| Summary: | Rare earth elements play a key role in industrial developments. However, there are few sediment reference materials of rare-earth elements and yttrium (together called REYs) worldwide. A deep-sea sediment certified material rich in rare earth elements has been developed and evaluated on the special protocol of a certified reference material, and 62 components of major, minor and trace components in the deep-sea rare earth-enriched sediments were determined. Reference Material for Deep-sea Rare Earth-enriched Sediments in the Pacific Ocean has now been certified as GBW07590.
