| Summary: | In 2020 ~ 21, the government of South Korea unveiled a policy for the establishment of senior-friendly complexes known as Korean-version Continuing Care Retirement Community. The K-CCRC is a large-scale project that requires the construction of infrastructure, housing, medical facilities, and various welfare facilities using government financial and social resources. The careful selection of project regions is crucial to achieve policy objectives. This study identified the best candidate regions for K-CCRC using an analytic hierarchy process (AHP) survey and cluster analysis. It analyzed the policies to determine the indicators for selecting K-CCRC candidate sites. The AHP was administered to experts during the policymaking process to establish the importance value of each indicator. Cluster analysis was applied to calculate the indicator values, and assign importance values to each region to obtain the final score. As a result, the regions were ranked by score, and the top regions were selected as K-CCRC candidate sites. |
