| Summary: | The starting point of this text is that reflection on the methodological question in language and culture didactics is only meaningful if it goes beyond the methodological perimeter. It’s a question of seeing the bigger picture: understanding the span over which AI will impose itself, and how it will fit into an educational and, by the same token, civilizational landscape that it will, in its own way, have transformed. We will start by analyzing it from three angles: ideology, temporality and being-in-the-world. Secondly, and in the light of these observations, we shall consider the conditions under which innovation can penetrate educational systems, focusing specifically on the case of languages and cultures. Some of the conclusions that follow can only be tentative. |
