| Summary: | This paper presents a brief overview about the financing of Brazilian public
primary education, focusing, in a more detailed way, the resulting shape of
the legal mark opened by the Federal Constitution in 1988 and redefined
after the regulation of the Fundo de Manutenção e Desenvolvimento do
Ensino Fundamental e de Valorização do Magistério Fundef (Primary Education Maintenance and Development and Teaching Support Fund) as
well as the Lei de Diretrizes e Bases da Educação Nacional LDB (Brazilian
Basic Tenets Law). It is also presented, in the face of the available information,
an exercise about the foreseen design for the financing of primary
education, in the case of the Fundo de Manutenção e Desenvolvimento do
Ensino Fundamental e de Valorização do Magistério Fundef (Primary
Education Maintenance and Development and Teaching Support Fund)
come to be approved. |
