Autograft Quadriceps Anterior Cruciate Ligament Harvest Technique

During anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction, the autograft harvest requires accuracy and reproducibility to provide grafts for successful outcomes. Advancements in devices associated with the quadricep harvest have occurred that allow surgeons to harvest the quadriceps tendon with minimally inv...

description During anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction, the autograft harvest requires accuracy and reproducibility to provide grafts for successful outcomes. Advancements in devices associated with the quadricep harvest have occurred that allow surgeons to harvest the quadriceps tendon with minimally invasive techniques. During technique adoption, the transition can be difficult with less efficiency and graft uniformity. Developing a systematic approach to the setup and technique can minimize undersized grafts, graft truncation, and other complications during the harvest. This Technical Note serves as a summary of procedural pearls that can aid the orthopaedic surgeon in developing a reliable and consistent harvesting technique.
