description The article examines the features of national intellectual property systems (hereinafter referred to as IP) in the context of international institutionalization of technology transfer. The carried out analysis of national systems for the protection of intellectual property rights has shown that the leading countries in global innovation progress have achieved the highest level of development. It has been confirmed that the systems of protection of the United States of America and the European Union currently demonstrate the greatest efficiency due to their high level of IP protection. Their protection systems are reliable and predictable, as verified by the procedures for the identification of intellectual property rights. The main features of the intellectual property rights protection system operating in Germany include, on one hand, the integrity and complexity of its criminal law protection with maximal consideration of the influence of economic factors, and on the other hand, the administration of justice at a fair price, whereby the amounts of compensation and the procedure for compensation for damages are clearly defined in the case of proven infringement of IP rights by business entities. The features of the intellectual property rights protection system operating in France stem from the classification of the patent as the most significant object of intellectual property protected by law. The characteristics of the Japanese intellectual property protection system, which prioritizes public utility, have been defined. Currently, Japan exhibits a significantly higher efficiency in implementing research and development results into mass production and the speed of their technical improvement. It is further noted that China has experienced a rapid breakthrough in the development of its national intellectual property rights protection system, evolving from its initial state and up to an advanced position in the world. It is determined that as a result of many years of cooperation among countries in the field of intellectual property protection, a developed and multifaceted regulatory framework has been created that governs international scientific and technical exchange.
