description Stem cell (SC) therapy has been proposed as a promising therapeutic modality in neonatology, especially for prevention and/or treatment of several interactable diseases such as bronchopulmonary dysplasia, intraventricular hemorrhage, hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy and others. However, there are several uncertainities in terms of indications, timing, dosage, and safety of SC therapy for routine clinical use in neonates. Herein, a group of Turkish Neonatal Society members evaluated the systematic reviews, meta-analyses, clinical and experimental studies and also case-reports in the literature about the usage of SC therapy in neonatal diseases.
