| description | Aims: The current study aims to highlight the civilizational role played by the Arabian Peninsula through the human settlements. The study also seeks to shed light on the most important cities, temples, and palaces scattered across the Arabian Peninsula, detailing their locations, significance, construction methods, and the role they played in public life.
Methodology: The study adopts the historical-descriptive and analytical approach to highlight the importance of the cities, palaces, and temples in the Arabian Peninsula. The current study provided a clear descriptive picture of these cities and palaces, their details, plans, locations, and construction methods. Additionally, the study explained the importance of these cities in the commercial activities of the Arabian Peninsula, as well as the role of temples in religious life.
Results: After analyzing the data and information gathered for the study, the results showed that the Arabian Peninsula had a significant place in the historical sequence and showed showing its connection to historical developments from ancient times to the verge of the Christian era. The results also indicated that the cities in the Arabian Peninsula played a major role in trade and economic activity in general and acted as important commercial hubs. The people of the Arabian Peninsula placed a great importance on religious aspects, as evidenced by the numerous temples scattered across the region and their architectural features. The study also showed that the excavations in the northern, southern, and central regions played an important role in uncovering a considerable number of cities, temples, and palaces, each belonging to a specific civilization within the Arabian Peninsula. |
