Summary:The study seeks to highlight monetary policy as a component of macroeconomic policies, the importance of investment on the economy and on economic growth, the correlation between investment and monetary policy in macroeconomic thinking, and the implications of the 2007-2010 financial crisis on the theory and practice of monetary policy. Following submission of theoretical and practical considerations concerning the influence of monetary policy on investment and vice versa, both at micro and macro levels, this paper tries to highlight the effects of monetary policy actions on global and local investment in terms of profitability, risk, liquidity and investment period.
