description Environmentally friendly vehicles (EFVs) have experienced significant growth in recent years. This study uses bibliometric techniques to analyze EFVs sustainable development research, based on 2,963 documents from the Web of Science and Scopus, written by 8,025 authors across 95 countries. The findings show that key journals publishing this research include the Journal of Cleaner Production, Energies, IEEE Transactions on Industry Applications, Advanced Materials, and IEEE Transactions on Magnetics. The study also identifies emerging research trends, such as lithium-ion batteries, biofuels, energy systems, and fuel cells. By mapping research themes, collaboration networks, and trending topics, this study provides a comprehensive review of EFV sustainable development research. It highlights important areas for future research, helping scholars and policymakers advance EFVs and promote environmental sustainability in transportation.
